During this home visit, a nursing student joined Tzu Chi volunteers to gain practical experience in community nursing. The student observed the care of a patient with chronic kidney disease (CKD), learning about the need for regular erythropoietin injections and dialysis treatment. The visit also provided insight into how family support, financial challenges, and community resources influence long-term patient care. Through this hands-on experience, the student developed a deeper understanding of holistic assessment and patient-centered community nursing.
