As part of their clinical practicum, students from the Five-Year Nursing Program at Tzu Chi University in Taiwan visited the Tzu Chi Dialysis Centres in Penang and Butterworth for a two-day service-learning and educational exchange.
Stepping into the real-world clinical setting, the students observed the daily operations and nursing care at the dialysis centres while gaining valuable hands-on learning experiences. More importantly, through heartfelt interactions and companionship with dialysis patients, they discovered that quality healthcare extends beyond clinical skills—it is also about empathy, compassion, and humanistic care.
This meaningful exchange not only strengthened their professional knowledge but also inspired them to embrace patient-centred care with warmth and kindness, carrying forward the spirit of compassionate healthcare. 💙
