Patient safety does not stop in the treatment room.
For someone who is older, physically frail or has limited mobility, a missing handrail, an unsafe walkway or even a small step can become a daily fall risk.
During home visits, we also look at whether patients and Medical Home Care recipients can move around safely at home. When needed, volunteers help install handrails and other assistive measures.
Patient safety should not stop at the treatment room door.
Because safety matters every day. 💙
