On August 30, our dialysis patient joined the MCKL service learning program and brought along his wife. What began as a simple invitation quietly planted the seed of a new journey.
A few days later, his wife came to the centre and voiced her wish to volunteer. She was invited to join the bakery team every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as she accompanies her husband to dialysis, and on Tuesdays, to take part in bamboo bank making and basket weaving. She gladly agreed, even asking if her friends could join too.
True to her word, she showed up — baking bread, crafting alongside her husband, their faces glowing with joy — marking the beautiful beginning of their journey in service.
