Buddhist Tzu-Chi Dialysis Centre (Penang)
To welcome the New Year and express appreciation to the TIMA doctors who regularly support the dialysis centre, patient Lau Kar Kie weave baskets for the festive hampers. Within a short time, he completed 20 baskets with ease, demonstrating remarkable skill and care.
Though blind, Kar Kie continues to thrive through his hands. In each woven piece, he not only contributed to a meaningful gesture, but also rediscovered a sense of purpose—affirming that he is still capable of giving and being needed.
Through these woven blessings, we extend our warmest wishes to all: May your New Year be filled with peace, joy, and wisdom.
“No matter how long the road is or how much strength we have, we should always do our best to reach our end goal. That is perseverance.” —— Jing Si Aphorism by Master Cheng Yen
