The Lunar New Year celebration came early to the Penang Tzu Chi Long-Term Care Centre. Elders, their families, and volunteers gathered for a special reunion dinner and took happy family photos together.

The most touching moment was the tea offering. Children served warm tea to their elders to show their gratitude. In return, the elders gave them framed Jing Si Aphorisms—hand-crafted pieces they had made during their weekly activities. The room was filled with happy tears and warm hugs.

Delicious home-cooked dishes filled the tables as everyone chatted and laughed like one big family. For the elders, this meal made them feel truly loved and remembered. For the families, it was a precious chance to reconnect.

This gathering was more than just a dinner; it brought love and family bonds back into everyone’s hearts before the New Year even started.

“In this world, everyone is family and everywhere a place for spiritual growth.” —— Jing Si Aphorisms by Master Cheng Yen
