Mr. Wen, a dialysis patient, was hospitalized with a lung infection and couldn’t go home for the Lunar New Year. When our head nurse visited him, he joked, “Looks like I’ll be watching fireworks from the hospital again this year,” masking disappointment with humour.

Our head nurse also delivered the Master’s blessing packet to him so he could welcome the New Year in his heart. Reading the Jing Si Aphorism inside the packet, he shared his wish to do more good. He was reminded that simply sharing a smile and being grateful are also wonderful acts of kindness.

Before leaving, a box of mandarin oranges was given to him to share with hospital staff and visitors, allowing him to create affinities. Seeing his warm smile return, we knew he felt truly cared for. Please join us in wishing Mr. Wen a speedy recovery!
