At 91, a severe hip fracture coupled with high heart risks made surgery impossible. Normally, this means being permanently bedridden. But love and perseverance rewrote her story.
Tzu Chi medical home care team arranged physiotherapist stepped into her home, working alongside her dedicated daughters. Over 19 consistent home physiotherapy sessions, she gradually regained the strength to sit up and balance.
The true breakthrough came when our therapist addressed her post-fracture limb length discrepancy with proper support. To everyone’s absolute amazement, this 91-year-old grandmother, who was expected to remain in bed, stood up and began walking steadily with a frame! A miracle—made possible by 19 sessions of unwavering professional care and family love.
