Buddhist Tzu-Chi Education Centre (Penang)
Recently, a multidisciplinary TIMA team—including paediatricians, family medicine specialists, dentists, nurses, audiologists, occupational and speech therapists, and dietitians—visited the Tzu Chi Education Centre for the kindergarten’s annual health screening.
Through comprehensive assessments covering basic health, dental, hearing, speech, and fine motor skills, the team’s primary goal is the early detection of potential developmental issues. This ensures that children can receive timely treatment, and more importantly, it empowers parents with the right methods and knowledge to support their child’s growth. Additionally, the team taught the “Healthy Plate” concept in a fun way to promote balanced nutrition.
In return, the joyful children gifted the medical team handmade photo frames. This screening was more than a check-up; it was an opportunity to build proper caregiving concepts for families, ensuring that love and professional care accompany the children as they grow.
