Community Medical Care ~Great Love & Compassionate Care
Tzu Chi has been providing Lim Sim for free hemodialysis treatment since 2004. In 2020, she had a stroke, Tzu Chi volunteers and medical units arranged a rehabilitation plan for her, so that she will be able to take care of herself. Tzu Chi volunteers arranged her to stay in a nursing home. Physiotherapist visits were scheduled to help her to regain basic movement ability and relearn everyday activities.
Volunteers often accompanied her in the spiritual ritual. With the encouragement of the volunteers , she got rid of her bad habits of watching drama and playing with her mobile phone for long hours.Lim Sim compliance well to the nutritious meals provided. Tzu Chi dialysis center nurses assist her in doing the rehabilitation exercise during dialysis treatment. She is now able to keep her blood pressure in control and do physiotherapy diligently.
In the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, TIMA dentist went to treat her facial palsy and oral condition.
Physiotherapist exercise is arranged for Lim Sim regularly before her dialysis sessions. In 2023, she is able to stand with walker for more then 5 minutes, and walk slowly with the assist of a person.
