This patient from the Tzu Chi Dialysis Centre in Butterworth was recently hospitalized due to poor health. During the hospital stay, dialysis sessions were less than 4 hours, leading to water retention. After discharge, our nurses visited his home to explain the importance of completing full dialysis hours, advised him to limit fluid intake, and suggested adding an extra dialysis session each week to help remove excess fluid.
Although he initially felt too tired to attend an extra session, with the nurses’ continued care and encouragement—especially in managing his fluid intake—his condition showed clear improvement by the second week after discharge. The swelling had nearly disappeared, and his complexion had visibly brightened.
This interaction went beyond medical care—it was a journey of trust, support, and heartfelt companionship. We are grateful for everyone’s dedication in helping protect health and spread love.
