For six months, 86-year-old Madam Y lived in a world of “wipe-downs.” Between the fragility of her catheter and the itch of her dry skin, the simple joy of a shower felt like a luxury from a past life. At the same time, she continued caring for her young grandchildren, adding to her physical strain.

Sensing her quiet struggle, the nursing team stepped in. In the safety of the dialysis centre, they assisted her with a proper bath.
Afterward, she shared softly, “It feels so much better now—a much-needed relief.” In that moment, she wasn’t just a patient or a caregiver; she was a person rediscovered, wrapped in the warmth of dignity and care.
