Recently, we’ve been grateful to welcome group after group of student volunteers from MCKL College (Pykett Campus) to our dialysis centre. One of the visits coincided with the season of Hari Raya, bringing an extra layer of joy to our space.
They helped with care and cleaning, made handmade Hari Raya cards, and sang softly as they visited our patients. Our Muslim patients smiled brightly upon receiving the cards.
The students originally came to give, but left learning gratitude, resilience, and the importance of health. One shared, “Today I feel like a better person, learning to care and to give.” His grandfather also shared that his grandson has become more open and communicative at home, and hopes he continues volunteering.
Sometimes, change doesn’t only happen in the centre—it slowly grows at home too.
If you’d like to experience these meaningful moments, come join us and be a part of this journey. 👉 Sign up: https://forms.gle/esURBznAqpYXPjzU7
