On May 5, 2026, the atmosphere at the Penang Tzu Chi Education Center and Jing Si Hall was filled with warmth and solemnity as teachers, parents, students, and Da Ai parents from the three Tzu Chi kindergartens in Penang, Nibong Tebal, and Butterworth gathered together to participate in the “Returning to the Spiritual Home” event. Through companionship and heartfelt interactions, everyone experienced the warmth, care, and harmony of the Tzu Chi family.
The children participated in different activities according to their age groups. The six-year-old class joined a guided tour of Jing Si Hall to learn about Tzu Chi humanities and environmental values. The five-year-old class experienced the “Tearless Candle” activity, where they learned patience and concentration throughout the process. Meanwhile, the four-year-old class took part in a hall tour and bead-stringing activities, experiencing the joy of cooperation and sharing through hands-on learning. Through every interaction and activity, the children observed the beauty of a simple lifestyle with their pure and innocent perspectives, while learning gratitude and the importance of cherishing blessings from every little detail around them.
Through personal participation and gentle guidance, humanistic education was naturally integrated into the children’s daily lives. From their sincere and innocent sharing, one could see the children’s understanding of simplicity, as well as their love and care for family members and those around them. After completing their handmade creations, the children eagerly shared their work with their parents. Their bright smiles and excitement reflected the purest sense of joy, happiness, and gratitude.
At the end of the event, everyone gathered together for prayers and the sharing of longevity peaches. Filled with gratitude and blessings, the event came to a heartwarming and fulfilling conclusion. Through this meaningful gathering, the children deepened their understanding of Tzu Chi humanities, while teachers and parents also rediscovered the peace and warmth of returning to the spiritual home through companionship and interaction. The seeds of kindness and love will continue to grow gently in the hearts of the children as they journey through life.
