After losing part of her leg, Mdm S. lived alone with no support system. With no one to help with daily wound care or transport her to the clinics, she was left feeling utterly helpless.
Then, Tzu Chi stepped into her life. For the past ten months, the Medical Home Care team has been by her side, supporting her on her path to independence. TIMA doctor examining her wounds and evaluating her condition with the utmost care; nurses and physiotherapists consistently aided her recovery and rehabilitation. Alongside the medical team, community volunteers also provided regular companionship, offering financial subsidies to ease her living burdens and continuously showering her with emotional encouragement.
Deeply touched by this unwavering care, Mdm S. embraced a profound sense of gratitude and a strong spirit of independence. She actively built her strength, and today, her wound has completely healed. She is now on track to apply for a prosthetic leg, getting ready to take her own steps once again!
From being isolated and helpless to standing back up, this ten-month journey gave her not just medical care and practical assistance, but the dignity and strength to reclaim her life. 🤍
