Auntie Lean, 80, raised her only son after losing her husband at a young age. Years later, her son gave them a home of their own—but shortly after the housing loan was finally paid off, he passed away.
Our nursing team wondered:
“Who will be there for her now?”
We accompanied her through the funeral and helped plan the support she would need. Thankfully, her son’s godson lives upstairs and promised to continue checking in on her.
As Master Cheng Yen reminds us:
“In this world, everyone is family, and everywhere is a place for spiritual growth.”
