Buddhist Tzu-Chi Dialysis Centre (Butterworth)
A highly dedicated volunteer who serves at the centre three days a week, she had been resting at home after injuring her foot a week earlier. After seeing the doctor, she tended to her wound herself each day while Dharma family members helped with groceries. During a care call, she admitted feeling anxious about the slow healing.
Upon learning this, the nursing team visited together with TIMA’s Dr. Toong. Her gentle assessment and guidance reassured her that the wound was healing steadily. Before leaving, they presented a New Year gift and blessings, surrounding her with care as she looked toward recovery and the coming year with renewed peace.
“With compassion comes a gentle demeanor. With compassion and gentleness, we can help people resolve their worries.” —— Jing Si Aphorisms by Master Cheng Yen
