Medical Home Care
Tzu Chi continues to provide compassionate home care for Madam Lim (pseudonym), an 88-year-old Tzu Chi Care Recipient in Bukit Mertajam. Following an amputation surgery, she faces significant health challenges requiring ongoing wound care and rehabilitation. Her daughter is her main caregiver, but the family has limited resources.
Since May 2025, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists has made 70 home visits. They provide essential post-surgery wound care and focused rehabilitation to help Madam Lim regain the ability to sit up. This vital progress makes daily caregiving much more manageable for her family, allowing Madam Lim to be cared for safely at home rather than having to move to a nursing home.
Our volunteers and medical professionals also offer continuous guidance and emotional support to her family, ensuring they never feel alone in this journey. Your support enables us to deliver these essential services, bringing hope and dignity to families in need. Thank you for making a real difference in Madam Lim’s life and our community.
