12 August, a group of architects from the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD) visited the Tzu Chi Dialysis Centre in Penang. Their visit offered a closer look at how the centre’s design combines comfort and efficiency—bright, open spaces and patient-centered layouts that reflect both care and function. They also learned how Tzu Chi’s medical mission extends beyond treatment, embracing emotional support, community care, and environmental protection.
As a token of friendship, volunteers presented handkerchiefs folded into bunnies, placed in small baskets made from recycled plastic—symbolizing Tzu Chi’s commitment to cherishing resources and echoing the spirit of green architecture.
