Nearly a quarter of dialysis patients at the centre have mobility challenges, often requiring physical assistance. Without proper posture and techniques, both patients and caregivers risk injury.
Students and lecturers from Tzu Chi University’s Physical Therapy Department provided hands-on training, guiding staff and volunteers on safe transfer methods, stretches, and balance exercises. Participants also shared real challenges they face daily, learning practical solutions together. The key takeaway: while helping others, we must also safeguard our own well-being.
