2025-09-01_Consensus Meeting on Home Care for Dialysis Patients: Integrating Professionalism and Humanity for Holistic Care

Community: mymy
Branch: 馬來西亞分會

At Tzu Chi, care doesn’t stop at the dialysis centre. For patients with mobility or transport challenges, our nurses and volunteers bring medical expertise, comfort, and hope directly into their homes.

Twice a month, our dedicated nursing team gather for case sharing discussions to review these visits, assess needs, and find creative ways to improve patients’ lives. From a new mattress or handrails for safety, to guidance on diet, therapy, or simply fulfilling a patient’s wish, each visit makes daily life easier and brighter for our patients.

One patient promised to swap canned food for healthier meals and tidy his home. By the next visit, he had kept his word. Nurses recognised his effort with a certificate and encouraged him to share the Jing Si Aphorisms he had begun reading — inspiring others with renewed confidence.

Every visit is a reminder that healing is more than treatment — it is love, dignity, and companionship. With your support and donations, we can continue walking beside patients and families, bringing light into their most difficult days.
