Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital is preparing to introduce palliative care, and 12 of its management staff visited the Penang Tzu Chi Dialysis Centre for inspiration. They observed how Tzu Chi’s medical and volunteer teams accompany patients and families in their final journey, safeguarding dignity so life may end with gratitude and love.
The visitors reflected that caregiving is more than following rules—it requires understanding each patient’s unique story and pain, with empathy and respect. Though their settings differ, both institutions share the same mission: to safeguard life and honor every journey, ensuring patients find peace to the very end.
