On December 14, Penang Tzu Chi Dialysis Centre held a TIMA Health Screening. Volunteers and care recipients from Dungun, Batu Gajah, Butterworth, and Penang Island arrived early to collect blood test kits and begin a day dedicated to health and life. Eastern District volunteers accompanied care recipients through the screening, showing attentive care, while also taking the opportunity to get consultation from the medical personnels.
The process included registering weight and height, measuring blood pressure, and completing blood and urine tests, followed by fruits and fried rice prepared by the nursing team. The Head Nurse provided guidance on kidney care and answered participants’ questions.
One month later, participants can collect their health reports and consult with doctors. For any abnormal results, nurses follow up regularly, providing care that is priceless. The next health screening will be on January 11, 2026. Tzu Chi volunteers are encouraged to sign up for their care recipients.
