Buddhist Tzu-Chi Dialysis Centre (Penang)

A morning in the dialysis room is no longer just about treatment—it has become a time for spiritual nourishment. Under the ‘108 Days of Reverent Practice’ movement, our team has dedicated a special time for ‘Wisdom at Dawn’. Patients now listen to Master Cheng Yen’s teachings during their sessions, followed by a warm sharing led by volunteers, where everyone is encouraged to speak from the heart.

For many patients, these moments help renew their motivation to face the day. For the nursing team, the shared reflections deepen connections with patients. Volunteers, too, are inspired by the sincerity of the exchanges and the quiet courage they witness.

When the session ends, dialysis continues—but the atmosphere feels lighter, steadier. What unfolds each morning is a gentle practice of nurturing the heart, together.

“When the mind is pure and tranquil, we have arrived in Pureland.” —— Jing Si Aphorisms by Master Cheng Yen.
