On February 8, during the “Eat Well, Live Well” workshop, dietitian Ms. Teong Lee Fang explained everyday foods in a simple way, helping patients spot the hidden phosphorus and sodium in processed meals. They also learned that their medicine (phosphate binders) isn’t just a daily chore to swallow—it is an important shield that protects their hearts and bones.
For the first time, many patients understood why they needed to manage their thirst. They learned easy ways to measure their daily water intake and relieve a dry mouth without drinking too much. They realized that eating right is a powerful choice to live a better, happier life.
The workshop helped the nursing team to understand how hard it is for patients to stick to a strict diet every single day. This shared understanding turned medical care into real teamwork, leaving everyone with the confidence that taking good care of yourself is a true source of strength.
